A profile shot of a Canadian Goose in Black and White is from the same shoot day as the rest of the latest wildlife images. I rarely use Black and White as an artistic choice but, some images just pop out in a high contrast developed medium. The photograph, in particular, is a good example of a subject that benefits from shallow depth of field creating the softness of the background elements that separate it from the remainder of the shot. The specularity of the water drops in front of its’ head and the sun in the eye add to this atmosphere of the image as well.
