Downtown OKC Boulder Art

This downtown OKC boulder art is situated in the business district at Robinson and Main streets. I took this at night with just the surrounding lighting. This area looks eerie after dark, and the boulders are actually about 10 feet tall at the highest point. I shot this in an almost no light situation as well. I used the street light reflections as best I could. It is surprisingly easy to add light if your composition is right and you have reflective surfaces near you. Tungsten lights don’t make for very good photography lighting for the most part. I ran into this piece completely by accident, looking for a place to park downtown during the Christmas lighting at Myriad Gardens.

I rarely take photos of art and sculpture really. I like the urban landscape vibe though. I get to explore new corners of the city and meet new people every time I go.
